Paul Brandt to perform in Penticton next year

PENTICTON – Canadian country music star Paul Brandt will make a stop at Penticton’s events centre as part of his Journey Tour 2019.

The tour makes its way to the South Okanagan Events Centre on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2019.

Brandt will be joined by Canadian Country Music Association Duo of the Year winners High Valley, along with special guests Jess Moskaluke and the Hunter Brothers.

Brandt’s newest collection of songs, “The Journey BNA: Vol. 2" will be released Nov. 9.

“The artists I have the honour of performing with on this tour are incredibly talented, successful and also some of the best friends I’ve made in the music business," Brandt says in a news release. "There is a palpable energy and chemistry when we are in the room together, and I can’t wait to bring that to stages across Canada. The Journey Tour will combine talent and artistic vision in a way that Canada has not yet experienced; all of the artists involved are committed to making this tour one that country music fans will never forget.”

Doors open at 6 p.m., show starts at 7 p.m. Ticket prices are $43, $53, $73 and $99.50 and are available at the Valley First Box Office, by phone at: 1-877-763-2849, or online at: www.ValleyFirstTix.com

Tickets for the Penticton show go on sale Saturday, Sept. 8 at 10 a.m.

I have been looking for news in the South Okanagan - SImilkameen for 20 years, having turned a part time lifelong interest into a full time profession. After five years publishing a local newsletter, several years working as a correspondent / stringer for several local newspapers and seven years as editor of a Similkameen weekly newspaper, I joined iNFOnews.ca in 2014. My goal in the news industry has always been to deliver accurate and interesting articles about local people and places. My interest in the profession is life long - from my earliest memories of grade school, I have enjoyed writing.
As an airborne geophysical surveyor I travelled extensively around the globe, conducting helicopter borne mineral surveys.
I also spent several years at an Okanagan Falls based lumber mill, producing glued-wood laminated products.
As a member of the Kaleden community, I have been involved in the Kaleden Volunteer Fire Department for 22 years, and also serve as a trustee on the Kaleden Irrigation District board.
I am currently married to my wife Judy, of 26 years. We are empty-nesters who enjoy living in Kaleden with our Welsh Terrier, Angus, and cat, Tibbs.
Our two daughters, Meagan and Hayley, reside in Richmond and Victoria, respectively.
