PENTICTON – Paving projects are going to affect major roads in Penticton’s industrial area next week.
The City of Penticton says repaving is anticipated to begin Sept. 10 and involves Government Street from Carmi Avenue to Dawson Avenue, Industrial Avenue from Okanagan Avenue to Amherst Street and Dawson Avenue from Dartmouth Drive to South Main Street.
Communications Officer Phillip Cooper says the streets will be closed from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. during construction.
B.C. Transit says bus service on routes one and three will be affected, with no bus stop available on Government Street across from the hospital while paving is being done.
Bus service is also expected to be delayed through the day during the paving period.
A map showing the portions of streets affected can be found here.
