USGS says 7.8-magnitude aftershock rocks Chile a day after 8.2 quake
SANTIAGO, Chile – The U.S. Geological Service says a powerful 7.8-magnitude aftershock has rocked Chile’s northern coast a day after an 8.2 quake which claimed six lives.
The USGS says the aftershock struck about 23 kilometres south of Iquique, the city closet to the epicentre of Tuesday’s quake.
More to come.
