B.C. Coroners Service have confirmed the identity of a 61-year-old Kamloops man who died in a snowmobiling accident near Valemont Jan. 8.
His name is Richard Allan McDonald.
McDonald was pronounced dead the next day after he went snowmobiling along the clearing between the roadway and tree line on Highway 5 near Valemont. He was taken to a local clinic but efforts to resuscitate him were unsuccessful.
B.C. Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate the events that lead to his death.
