OTTAWA – Prime Minister Stephen Harper has in his possession a wide array of gifts that he has received over the years from Russian President Vladimir Putin and disgraced former Ukraine President Viktor Yanukovych. An inventory:

Sept. 5-6, 2013 —G20 Summit in St. Petersburg, Russia: Imperial porcelain Orion coffee set entitled “The Sun in Zenith;”; Imperial porcelain suprematist teapot entitled “The Sun in Zenith”; Tumi T-Pass leather laptop case; framed painting on canvas entitled “A Circle Attraction-2,” by artist Igor Shinkar; Imperial Porcelain plate entitled “Monument to the Emperor Peter I, founder of St. Petersburg and the Konstantin Palace,” and a plate stand; Imperial Porcelain plate with the participating country flags circling the perimeter; Imperial Porcelain plate entitled “Samson,” and a plate stand.

Sept. 6-10, 2012 — Asia-Pacific Economic Co-operation (APEC) Summit in Vladivostok, Russia: Three APEC Summit 2012 commemorative sterling coins; book on Russian history, “The Wealth of Russia,” presented in a linen bound book sleeve; bottle of 1970 Russian cognac.

July 15-17, 2006 — G8 Summit in St. Petersburg, Russia: G8 commemorative picture frame; coffee-table book (title not provided); Laureen Harper also received amber picture frame, two books and a porcelain tea cup and saucer.

Gifts from Viktor Yanukovych, then president of Ukraine

Oct. 25, 2010 — Harper’s visit to Ukraine: Leather bound with gold-leaf inlay atlas of Ukraine; bronze statue of Bohdan Zenobi Chmielnicki (c1595-1657), considered a national hero and the father of Ukraine’s independence.
