CBC renews ‘Murdoch Mysteries,’ ‘Dragons’ Den,’ ‘Republic of Doyle’
TORONTO – “Murdoch Mysteries” and “Dragons’ Den” are among the shows that have been renewed for another season by CBC-TV.
Other series set to return to the CBC schedule include “Republic of Doyle,” “Mr. D,” “The Fifth Estate” and “Heartland.”
“This Hour Has 22 Minutes,” “The Rick Mercer Report,” “Steven and Chris,” “Marketplace,” and “The Nature of Things” were also renewed.
The schedule will also include new shows “Strange Empire,” “Canada’s Smartest Person” and “Of All Places.”
The public broadcaster recently announced it was cancelling northern drama “Arctic Air” and mental health crime series “Cracked,” as well as “George Stroumboulopoulos Tonight” and “The Ron James Show.”
