Looking for a forever home; Kamloops SPCA pet of the week
KAMLOOPS – Two is better than one in the case of brothers Dexter and Pixel from the Kamloops SPCA.
These rat boys came in as their owner was not caring for them properly and they are now looking for somebody to show them the high life.
Rats are social animals and as these boys have been together their whole lives would need to be adopted together. They are both curious of visitors but Dexter is a little more cautious than his brother and Pixel is a little more outgoing.
The SPCA staff say they are working on litter training the rats and they are doing quite well with it. Rats need specialized litter in their boxes, and not the typical clay litter used for cats. Rats also require special diets to ensure they are healthy as well as lots of space to run and explore.
For more information about Dexter and Pixel contact the staff at the Kamloops SPCA. Their animal ID numbers are 468818 and 468819.
