KAMLOOPS, B.C. – A 31-year-old man who pleaded guilty to killing his friend during a Kamloops house party will spend over four more years in prison.
Torbin Alec stabbed 29-year-old Jesse Seymour six times in July 2012.
Alec pleaded guilty to manslaughter last fall, and on Friday B.C. Supreme Court Justice Dev Dley sentenced Alec to six years in prison, minus time served.
Alec says he never meant to hurt Seymour and that what happened was a terrible thing.
Alec will also be subject to a lifetime firearms ban. (CFJC)
