Two people in hospital after train hits tractor in Chilliwack: RCMP

CHILLIWACK, B.C. – Two people are in hospital after a tractor was hit by a train in Chilliwack.

RCMP say the driver, a 15-year-old boy, was airlifted to Children’s Hospital with serious injuries and is in stable condition.

Insp. Konrad Golbeck says a passenger on board the tractor jumped out of the vehicle before it was hit by the train and is in Chilliwack hospital with minor injuries.

Golbeck says the driver of the train escaped unscathed.

Police say the train was hauling grain trailers.
