Vancouver’s Elizabeth Zvonar among finalists for Aimia/AGO Photography Prize

TORONTO – Vancouver’s Elizabeth Zvonar is among the four international artists shortlisted for the Aimia/AGO Photography Prize.

Zvonar joins Talia Chetrit of the U.S., Jimmy Robert of France and Ursula Schulz-Dornburg of Germany on the shortlist for the $50,000 prize.

The four finalists will present their work at an exhibition opening Sept. 7 at the Art Gallery of Ontario in Toronto.

Exhibition curator Adelina Vlas says the nominees all work with photography “in singular ways, each of which embodies a current mode in contemporary art.”

This year’s winner is chosen by public vote, with voting beginning in person at the gallery upon the exhibition’s opening, and on the prize’s website on Sept. 14.

The prize is co-presented by the Art Gallery of Ontario and Aimia, a data-driven marketing and loyalty analytics company.
