Girl calls 911 when dad passes out in car; police find vodka

CLIFFSIDE PARK, N.J. – Police say a 4-year-old New Jersey girl called 911 to report her father had passed out in their car.

Cliffside Park police say 41-year-old Jamil Graham, of Englewood Cliffs, was charged with child endangerment, being under the influence of alcohol and several motor vehicle offences. Police say a half-full bottle of vodka was found in the car.

Authorities say the girl called 911 at around 9:30 p.m. Saturday. Officers tracked the cellphone signal to find Graham’s car.

The child was not harmed and was turned over to a relative.

A telephone number for Graham could not be located Monday, and it wasn’t known if he’s retained an attorney.
