WASHINGTON – The 55-45 roll call Thursday by which Senate Democrats blocked Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch. Sixty votes were required to move ahead on the nomination.
A “yes” vote is a vote to move ahead on the nomination.
Voting yes were 4 Democrats and 51 Republicans.
Voting no were 42 Democrats, 1 Republican and 2 independents. (Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., voted no for procedural reasons.)
