WILL THE CITY STAND FOR THIS?
KAMLOOPS – 'Chairorists' are picking up where the city has fallen down in providing some additional seating to the downtown core in Kamloops.
A YouTube video posted online Oct. 27 titled 'Chair Bomber' cites a lack of benches on Victoria Street and explains how an anonymous 'Chair Bomber' decided to 'rise to the occasion' by providing some vigilante seating to Kamloopsians.
"In 2012, the City of Kamloops stated it would increase the number of benches on Victoria Street," the video says. "The promise was not upheld to its full extent.'
The video demonstrates the building of the chairs in a woodwork shop by a group of chair assemblers before the finished products arrive to their new home on Victoria Street.
