Excavator among several vehicles stolen from Kamloops home

KAMLOOPS – Kamloops RCMP are asking for the public's assistance after numerous vehicles and a quad were stolen from a property in the southeast end of the city.

The theft occurred at a property in the 1400 block of Barnhartvale Road overnight on Monday, Oct. 8, Kamloops RCMP Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says.

In a Facebook post, the owner of the property says two vehicles, a quad, an enclosed trailer and a rented excavator were stolen from the home, which is currently under renovation.

Police confirm a 1999 Ford Expedition, a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon and a 2007 Polaris Sportsman quad were stolen along with "some other items."

Shelkie says the owner of the property reported the theft of an excavator, but the investigator is still "writing it up" and she doesn't have access to that information yet.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000.
