Detectives search Justin Bieber’s account on photo website looking for evidence of vandalism

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Court records show that detectives investigating a felony vandalism case against Justin Bieber have obtained a search warrant for the pop star’s Instagram account.

A Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department detective obtained a warrant to search Bieber’s account with the online photo-sharing site on March 13. The detectives have been investigating Bieber on a possible felony case alleging he threw eggs at a neighbour’s home in Calabasas on Jan. 9.

An affidavit accompanying the warrant application states that detectives were trying to match Bieber’s outfit from photos he posted on Instagram with footage from the pop star’s surveillance cameras.

No charges have been filed against the 20-year-old. A call to his attorney Howard Weitzman was not immediately returned.

The warrant’s details were first reported by Los Angeles Fox affiliate KTTV.
