Where they live: Here are the neighbourhoods Kamloops council candidates call home

KAMLOOPS – The Kamloops municipal election is this Saturday so it's time to decide who to vote for.

There are lots of reasons to choose a particular candidate and one of those reasons may be where they live in the city, especially if they live in the same neighbourhood as you.

As part of our election coverage, iNFOnews.ca asked all the candidates which neighbourhood they call home. Kamloops has a total of 16 official neighbourhoods according to the City of Kamloops and all but five areas are represented in the 2018 civic election.

Check out the list below to find where each candidate lives.

Aberdeen: Gerald Kenyon Watson

Batchelor Heights: Corally Delwo

Brocklehurst: Stephen Karpuk, Bill Sarai, Ray Dhaliwal

Dallas: Caroline King, Dennis Giesbrecht, Dale Bass

Downtown: William James Turnbull (mayor candidate), Kathy Sinclair, Mike O'Reilly, Jennifer D. Adams, Denis J. Walsh

Juniper Ridge: Ken Christian (mayor candidate)

North Shore: Jimmy Johal, Nicholas Adams

Candidate Sadie Hunter calls home in Sun Rivers which is on the Tk'emlups te Secwepemc land.

Kamloops neighbourhoods not represented in the list above include Barnhartvale, Heffley Creek, High Country, McDonald Park, and Valleyview.

Rayleigh currently does not have an official neighbourhood association according to the city but it is also not represented in the Kamloops civic election.

For boundary maps of each neighbourhood check out the city's website here.
