Kelowna police asking for public’s help in identifying theft suspect

KELOWNA – Kelowna RCMP are asking for the public's assistance after a wallet was allegedly stolen last week from inside a local business.

Video surveillance captured the suspect on tape, but police are asking for help in identifying the man who supposedly stole the wallet on Friday, Oct. 12 shortly after 9:30 p.m., according to an RCMP media release.

Police say the theft took place in the 1800 block of Gordon Drive, but don't identify the business.

The suspect is described as Caucasian man between 50 to 60 years of age. He was wearing a blue baseball cap with a white emblem. The video surveillance footage shows the suspect wearing blue jeans and a dark-coloured hooded sweatshirt.

Anyone with information on the identity of this individual is asked to contact Const. Regan Donahue with the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300.
