Blue Bombers season ticket sales down from 2013 but still top 20,000

WINNIPEG – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have sold more than 20,000 season tickets.

With a month still to go, Bomber president Wade Miller is pleased with the number and says they knew sales would be down over last season.

Last season at this time, the Bombers had topped a record 23,000 season tickets and finished close to 25,000 but last year the Bombers also finally christened their new stadium, a year behind schedule.

Fans then got to experience the frustration of trying to get in and out of the campus of the University of Manitoba, where Investors Group Field is located.

They also watched the team tie their modern CFL worst record ever and finish in the league cellar at 3-15.

The Bombers have also added four more players to their roster — import receiver Braylon Bell, import placekicker Brett Maher, import defensive back Matt Pierce and import defensive end Kashawn Fraser.
