Emergency crews respond to vehicle rollover in Cherry Creek

CHERRY CREEK – Multiple emergency response crews including B.C. Air Ambulance attended to a single-vehicle rollover near the Trans-Canada Highway yesterday.

Kamloops RCMP, fire services and B.C. Ambulance attended to a vehicle that veered off the highway on Tuesday, Oct. 23, according to Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Jodi Shelkie.

"It happened yesterday at 4:50 p.m., on Cherry Road. A single vehicle went off road (to the) right and rolled over," Shelkie says.

Fire service crews had to cut away part of the vehicle's roof to remove the driver.

The driver sustained non life-threatening injuries and was taken to Royal Inland Hospital, she says.

There is no word on what caused the crash and police are still investigating.
