Pauline Marois makes appearance at Parti Quebecois election post-mortem

LAVAL, Que. – Pauline Marois has joined members of the Parti Quebecois’ rank-and-file today to discuss what went wrong in last month’s provincial election.

The former Quebec premier, who stepped down as PQ leader on election night after losing her seat, was spotted inside the Laval hotel conference room where the election post-mortem is taking place.

Marois didn’t enter through the hotel’s front door and didn’t speak to the media.

About 150 PQ members are gathered for a closed-door meeting to discuss the party’s April 7 election loss.

Marois has been out of the public eye since bidding an emotional goodbye to politics in the middle of last month.

The PQ called the vote in the hopes of securing a majority government _ but ended up suffering a devastating loss to Philippe Couillard’s Liberals.
