Bowey named Kelowna Rockets’ captain

KELOWNA – The Kelowna Rockets have named Madison Bowey as the 18th captain in Kelowna's franchise history.

Bowey, an 18-year-old Winnipeg native, is in his third season with the Rockets and was named captain this week, prior to the team heading to Prince George for a pair of games.

Bowey was a second round WHL bantam draft pick of the Rockets in 2012 and last year was chosen by the Washington Capitals in the second round of the NHL Entry Draft.

The Rockets also named three assistant captains as Myles Bell, Damon Severson and Tyson Baillie were named as assistants.
