CP NewsAlert: Ovechkin passes Howe with 802 goals
The great wait for the Great 8 is over — Alex Ovechkin of the Washington Capitals has passed the late Gordie Howe on the NHL goals list, scoring his 801st and 802nd tonight against the visiting Winnipeg Jets. Howe had 801 goals. Wayne Gretzky is the all-time leader with 894 goals.
