Hugh Jackman will return to Broadway next season; talks of upcoming hosting duties at Tony’s

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Hugh Jackman says he jacked to host the Tony Awards for the third time, but fans of his stage work won’t have to wait long to see the Tony-winning star onstage again.

Jackman says he’s doing the play “The River” later this year and “looking forward to treading the boards here on Broadway.”

But before that, it’s the Tony Awards on June 8, something he calls “like the Olympics for an athlete or the Super Bowl for a football player.” This will be his third time hosting.

The 45-years old star, promoting his latest film, “X-Men: Days of Future Past,” says he’s already started Tony rehearsals, but doubts his character Wolverine will show up.

Says Jackman: “I’m not sure Fox will be thrilled if Wolverine came out singing and dancing.”
