Homicide detectives take over following deadly shooting in Surrey

SURREY, B.C. – One man has been fatally shot in Surrey, B.C.

RCMP were called to a home (near 176 Street and 57 Avenue) in the Cloverdale neighbourhood at around midnight after area residents reported hearing gunfire.

The victim was found at the home and was rushed to hospital but could not be saved.

Officers spent the night knocking on doors in the area, searching for witnesses.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team is expected to take over the case.

Police have not commented on a possible motive for the shooting. (Global)
