Kelowna RCMP asking for help to track down theft suspects

KELOWNA – Police are seeking the public’s assistance in tracking down suspects that were involved in a commercial break and enter where tens of thousands of dollars worth of industrial equipment was stolen from a Kelowna business last month.

Police have now released images from video surveillance footage of the theft that took place on Oct. 24.

RCMP responded to a report of a break and enter at a business located in the 900 block of Crowley Avenue on Oct. 24, according to an RCMP media release. Investigators learned that sometime after 3:30 a.m. that same morning, two masked suspects cut the padlock to the gate of the fenced area and stole a number of pieces of hydraulic equipment.

One of the stolen industrial items stolen is valued by the owner at approximately $50,000, police say.

New video surveillance obtained by police show two masked suspects and the suspect vehicle that appears to be a two-tone black Ford F-350 Super Duty long box pickup truck.

Investigators have released the images to the public in hopes of identifying the suspects and recover the stolen property. Anyone with information is asked to contact Kelowna Const. Cory Hedrei at 250-762-3300 or can do so anonymously by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
