Aaron Hernandez associate pleads not guilty to murder charge in death of semi-pro player

FALL RIVER, Mass. – An associate of former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez has pleaded not guilty to murder in the shooting death of a man near Hernandez’s Massachusetts home last summer.

Ernest Wallace was arraigned Thursday in Superior Court in Fall River.

Wallace has pleaded not guilty to accessory charges in the killing of semi-professional football player Odin (OH’-dihn) Lloyd.

Another man who faces murder charges is being arraigned May 27. Wallace and the other man are from Hernandez’s hometown of Bristol, Connecticut.

Hernandez has pleaded not guilty to murder in the death of Lloyd, who was dating his fiancee’s sister.

Separately, Hernandez was indicted Thursday on murder charges in the 2012 shooting deaths of two people in Boston. His lawyers say he’s innocent.
