Four new school buses for $500K

CENTRAL OKANAGAN – Four new school buses for a half-million dollars will replacing aging rigs next spring for the Central Okanagan School District.

“These four new school buses mean more money for the school district to invest in other priorities, but more importantly, for the more than 80 kids, they’re a better ride to school,” Premier Christy Clark and MLA for Westside-Kelowna said.

Contractors, independent schools and First Nations schools were also able to take advantage of the government's spending plan which has resulted in savings of 10 to 15 per cent each year and saves districts significant administrative and staff time.

Kelowna's four new school buses is part of an $11-million project to buy 96 buses for 31 school districts.
