LONDON, Ont. – The Val-d’Or Foreurs opened the Memorial Cup with a 1-0 win over the host London Knights.

Foreurs goaltender Antoine Bibeau made 51 saves for the shutout and stopped a third-period penalty shot.

Anthony Mantha scored for Val-d’Or in the first period.
