Sunny but cool in Kamloops this weekend

KAMLOOPS – Kamloops residents can look for some unsettled conditions on either side of a sunny weekend.

Environment Canada says showers in Kamloops will end this morning, Nov. 22, followed by some clearing with a high of 5 Celsius. There is 30 per cent chance of rain this evening, along with a 30 per cent chance of wet flurries overnight as snow levels drop to the valley floor around midnight.

Tomorrow is expected to be mainly cloudy with a 40 per cent chance of showers late in the afternoon and a high of 5 C. Overnight expect cloudy periods along with a 40 per cent chance of showers and a low of -4 C.

For those with travel plans to the Lower Mainland, be aware a winter storm warning has been issued for the Coquihalla Highway with up to 30 centimetres of snow expected.

Saturday and Sunday should be sunny but cool, with highs around 1 C both days. The mercury will drop to -2 C on Saturday and 0 C on Sunday.

Clouds are expected to return Monday with a 70 per cent chance of flurries or rain showers and a high of 6 C.

Normal temperatures for this time of year in Kamloops are highs of 3 C and lows of -3 C.
