Excavator stolen from Kelowna work site
KELOWNA – Police are trying to track down an excavator stolen from a work site in Kelowna last week.
On Nov. 18, Kelowna RCMP responded to a call about a theft at a construction site at the corner of Enterprise Way and Dilworth Drive.
Thieves stole a yellow John Deere Model 26 excavator at some time between 10 a.m. and 2:50 p.m., when an employee was away from the site, according to an RCMP media release. Signs at the scene suggest the thieves fled northbound on Dilworth Drive.
"Our investigators would appreciate if area businesses would perform a check of their video surveillance cameras that capture parking lots or nearby roadways," Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey said in the release.
