Southern California woman arrested on suspicion of killing 3 young daughters

TORRANCE, Calif. – Authorities say they’ve arrested a woman on suspicion of killing her three young daughters at a Southern California home.

But there’s no immediate word on a motive.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department says deputies were called to an unincorporated area near the Los Angeles suburb of Torrance shortly after 5 p.m. Tuesday.

When they arrived, family members told them that a mother had killed her children.

Authorities say inside a home the deputies found three girls, ranging in age from 3 years old to 2 months old.

They were pronounced dead at the scene. Their mother was arrested on suspicion of murder, taken to a hospital for examination and then to a sheriff’s station.

Her name hasn’t been released.
