Father speaks out about son’s overturned conviction

HARRISBURG, Pa. – A Pennsylvania man whose son was recently exonerated in the 2009 shooting death of his pregnant fiancee says he’s happy his son is coming home, and he wants prosecutors to find the true killer.

Chris Brown discussed the case on Monday, five days after the state Supreme Court overturned his son Jordan Brown’s conviction in a 5-0 ruling.

The ruling reversed a previous finding that Jordan Brown was guilty of first-degree murder and homicide of an unborn child in connection with 26-year-old Kenzie Houk’s death.

Attorney Dennis Elisco says Brown, who was 11 years old at the time of the shooting, harbours no ill feelings.

Chris Brown calls the exoneration “bittersweet,” saying they still don’t have closure.

He says he hopes investigators reopen the case.
