TRAIL – What can three famous British chaps do to kill time in Trail on a Sunday afternoon?
That question was posed via Twitter this past weekend by Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson as he and the rest of the crew spent several hours stranded in the small southern B.C. town waiting for a flight.
Clarkson and his co-hosts Richard Hammond and James May are in Canada filming segments for their British series about vehicles. Earlier this month, the Okanagan Film Commission sent out a media release saying Top Gear would be coming to the South Okanagan and Boundary region for a segment on the Hennessey VolociRaptor SUV.
When Clarkson tweeted that he was looking for sights to see in the area as they waited for their flight, residents had no shortage of exciting, interesting and sometimes very Canadian suggestions for them.
Top Gear is one of the longest-running automotive programs in the world, reaching around 350 million viewers worldwide every week.
