Dillon Powers scores 2 goals, Rapids beat Impact 4-1

COMMERCE CITY, Colo. – Dillon Powers scored on a penalty kick in the fifth minute and added a second- half goal in the Colorado Rapids’ 4-1 victory over the Montreal Impact on Saturday night.

Kamani Hill and Shane O’Neill also scored in the second half to help Colorado (5-4-3) snap a two-game losing streak. Colorado has won all three meetings between the teams.

Andres Romero scored in the 88th minute for Montreal (1-6-4), which dropped to 0-3-4 on the road. The lowest-scoring team in the MLS, the Impact have three goals in their last five games and nine for the season.

Justin Mapp had two scoring chances for the Impact, but was denied by Clint Irwin’s sprawling save in the eighth minute. Mapp hit the left post in the 50th minute
