Amber Alert issued in Quebec for missing newborn

TROIS-RIVIÈRES, Qc – Quebec Provincial Police have issued an Amber Alert after a newborn was apparently kidnapped from a hospital in Trois-Rivieres.

Police say just before 7 p.m., a woman entered St. Mary’s Hospital disguised as a nurse and entered the bedroom of a new mom and left with the one-day old child wrapped in a blue blanket.

The woman being sought is described as five-foot-four and 130 pounds.

She is believed to be driving a red Toyota Yaris hatchback.

There is a “Baby on Board” decal on the rear window.

Police are asking anyone who saw the vehicle to immediately call 911.
