Vernon fire services tame weekend blaze

VERNON – Vernon firefighters doused a car engulfed in flames last Sunday.

On Dec. 2, Vernon Fire Rescue Services responded to a call on Foster Road. They discovered a Dodge truck on fire.

Workers quickly controlled the blaze. No one was hurt. The truck owner was at the scene and Rescue Services determined the fire was accidental.

“This is an example of the good work our fire fighters provide," said Vernon Fire Chief David Lind in a press release.
