Florida judge rules against actor Burt Reynolds on foreclosure

STUART, Fla. – A judge has turned down actor Burt Reynolds’ request to throw out a foreclosure on his Florida home.

A Martin County judge ruled in favour of Bank of America on Tuesday, allowing the foreclosure lawsuit to proceed.

Scripps Treasure Coast Newspapers reports Merrill Lynch Credit Corp., which is now Bank of America, filed the litigation in 2011 after Reynolds allegedly fell behind on mortgage payments on his waterfront Hobe Sound home.

No trial date on the matter has been set.
