Well known downtown Penticton building sells for $1.7 million

PENTICTON – A downtown Penticton landmark recently sold for $1.7 million.

The HM Commercial Group/Macdonald Realty Kelowna agent Jeff Hudson said the two-storey building located at 284 Main St. — presently housing Blenz Coffee Shop — contains 12,700 square feet of retail and office space and was assessed in 2017 at $1,731,000.

The Main Street property has secured leases on the ground floor with the second floor, presently empty, to be used as office space, which he says will bring more people working and more activity to that part of Main Street.

Hudson also confirmed an industrial building sitting on nearly two acres of Penticton industrial land recently sold for $3.2 million.

The property, located at 2324 Government St., is zoned for general manufacturing use, and consists of a warehouse with a front reception area, several offices, along with a boardroom, a kitchenette and a mezzanine storage area. The 1.95-acre property was most recently assessed at $2,274,000.

Hudson says both properties are owner occupied.
