Cirque du soleil teaming up with James Cameron for ‘Avatar’ live show
MONTREAL – The Cirque du soleil and James Cameron are teaming up to develop a live show based on the film director’s “Avatar.”
The show is set to premiere in Montreal in late 2015 and then play around the world.
Cameron and Cirque du soleil president Daniel Lamarre made the announcement at a news conference in Montreal this morning.
The science-fiction action film came out in 2009 and is set in the 22nd century.
Three film sequels are in the works.
