Unifor serves legal strike notice at Cascade Aerospace plant in B.C.

ABBOTSFORD, B.C. – The union representing 440 workers at Cascade Aerospace is threatening to strike. Unifor says has it has served its legal strike notice and if outstanding issues can’t be resolved, workers will be on strike next Wednesday. Unifor represents workers such as aircraft maintenance engineers, interior technicians, painters,maintenance, planning clerks and sheet metal mechanics. Cascade Aerospace is the primary Department of National Defence contractor for repair and overhaul on the Hercules heavy transport plane fleet.
