Wild West final comes down to Game 7 as Blackhawks, Kings look to keep Stanley Cup hopes going

CHICAGO – Jonathan Quick would rather be resting up than staring at yet another seventh game.

There’s not much he can do about that now.

A wild and memorable Western Conference final between the Los Angeles Kings and Blackhawks comes down to a win-or-go-home Game 7 in Chicago on Sunday night.

Kings says playing all these seventh games is “pretty tough on your body.” But he also says the Kings “would take it” if someone had asked before the series if they wanted to play a Game 7 against Chicago.

Maybe not under these circumstances, though.

The Blackhawks wiped out a 3-1 series deficit with two tense victories to force a seventh game. The winner hosts the New York Rangers in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup finals on Wednesday night.
