SAN LORENZO, Calif. – The Latest on a Northern California crash involving an ambulance (all times local):
3:50 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol says a 74-year-old woman who was being transported in an ambulance when it collided with a car in San Lorenzo has died.
KGO-TV reported that the ambulance was flipped on its side after an Audi crashed into its while it was in an intersection Monday around 11 a.m.
The driver of the car, a paramedic and two emergency workers were also injured and taken to a hospital.
CHP spokesman Officer Dan Jacowitz said he does not know if the ambulance had its emergency lights and siren activated.

Authorities in Northern California say five people were hospitalized after an ambulance that was transporting a patient to a hospital flipped on its side when a car crashed against it.
The East Bay Times reports the ambulance patient is in critical condition after the collision Monday in San Lorenzo. The driver of the car, a paramedic and two emergency workers were also injured and taken to a hospital.
The California Highway Patrol says the ambulance was carrying a female patient. What the woman was being transported for was not immediately released.
Officials did not say if the ambulance had its emergency lights and siren activated.
