Anti-corruption squad carries out search at Quebec Liberal headquarters
MONTREAL – Quebec’s anti-corruption police squad has carried out another search at the provincial Liberal party headquarters in Montreal.
The Liberals say in a statement that the party provided investigators with data from its computer servers, including some from director general Marie-Eve Ringuette.
The party says detectives confirmed Ringuette is not part of their investigation.
The anti-corruption squad first raided the Liberal offices in July 2013.
Ringuette was director of finance for the party between 2009 and 2013, when she was promoted to director general.
She was asked to come to provincial police headquarters in September 2013 to discuss the administration of the party.
