Victoria man spots parents’ stolen vehicle being driven with stolen plates
VICTORIA – A Victoria couple have their stolen car back after their son spotted someone driving it about two kilometres from their home.
Const. Michael Russell says the son, in his 40s, called police when he saw his parents’ vehicle being driven around the James Bay area at about 10 p.m. Tuesday night.
Russell says several officers, along with a police dog, responded and arrested four people in the car when it was stopped at a red light.
The licence plates on the vehicle had also been stolen.
A 39-year-old man was scheduled to make a court appearance on Wednesday.
Police are recommending a charge of possession of stolen property.
