Red-hot Blue Jays get some love from Kings’ Kopitar at Stanley Cup final

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. – The Toronto Blue Jays, who have been tearing up the American League East of late, got a little love at the Stanley Cup final on Thursday.

Los Angeles Kings star forward Anze Kopitar showed up at an off-day media availability Thursday, wearing a Blue Jays ball cap.

Asked where he got the hat, the 26-year-old Slovenian smiled.

“I snagged it from Drew Doughty,” he said, referring to the Kings defenceman from London, Ont.

“I like to watch baseball once in a while,” he continued. “I’m not going to watch all the games, all 162. But I’ll sit down and watch it and just relax.”
