
B.C. Transit bus collision in Penticton sends pedestrian to hospital
PENTICTON – A B.C. Transit bus was involved in a collision with a pedestrian in Penticton last night.
B.C. Transit communications manager Jonathan Dyck says the incident occurred last night, Dec. 17, at the intersection of Nanaimo Avenue and Ellis Street at around 6:10 p.m.
The pedestrian, who was believed to have suffered minor injuries, was conscious at the scene and transported to hospital.
Dyck says RCMP were called to the scene. No one with the Penticton RCMP detachment was immediately available for comment.
“We take safety very seriously as we review the details of this incident,” Dyck says.
