Kamloops RCMP respond to reported threat at business

KAMLOOPS – RCMP closed a section of Tranquille Road in Kamloops this afternoon after a reported threat at a business.

Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Jodie Shelkie says in a media release traffic was redirected while officers searched for the threat in the area of the business in the 300 block of Tranquille Road.

Shelkie says the road was closed "out of an abundance of caution."

The threat was reported at about 11:40 a.m. today, Dec. 18, and by 1 p.m. the road was reopened once police determined there was not threat.

RCMP do not identify the business that recieved the threat and do not say what the threat was.
