Office of South African President Jacob Zuma says he is in a hospital for tests

JOHANNESBURG – The office of South African President Jacob Zuma says he has been admitted to a hospital for tests.

Zuma’s office said in a statement that doctors are satisfied with his condition after he was hospitalized on Saturday.

The statement says 72-year-old Zuma was advised on Friday to rest following a demanding election season and the consequent shaping of his new administration. No further details were given.
