B.C. Housing announces 30 more shelter beds for Kamloops

KAMLOOPS – The province has announced an additional 30 shelter beds are coming to Kamloops.

The provincial government is providing funding for emergency housing to help individuals experiencing homelessness, according to a B.C. Housing media release.

The newly announced shelter beds will be operated by The Mustard Seed New Life Community.

Kamloops is one of many cities across the province receiving support from the province to ensure there is sufficient shelter space for people throughout the winter months, the province says. The new shelters are a result of partnerships with municipalities and non-profits to help take some of the pressure off of communities where current shelters are running at their full capacity.
