PEACHLAND – Residents of Peachland have another day in the dark ahead of them as BC Hydro plans to shut off power to 5,000 homes and businesses Friday.
Crews will be repairing lines affected by the heavy snow fall today between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. and are warning residents to be prepared.
Peachland Elementary School found out about the outage at 3:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon and have asked parents to make other arrangements for their kids.
Staff will be on site to assist those families who did not hear about the last-minute closure and buses will run on their normal schedule. Middle and secondary schools will remain open during the outage.
